The Bald Eagle is a beautiful and majestic bird. If you have ever seen one, they are huge! I had never seen one till 2 years ago and it's body was as wide as a telephone pole. It just seems unreal.

These birds live about 40 years and then they have to make a decision. They come to a fork in the road. Their claws get dull and they can't hunt. Their beaks curve under and their feathers get really thick. They must decide if they will try to carry on or just die from starvation. It's not an easy decision for them, but it can give them another 30 years if they push through the process.

In order to fix their situation, they must fly to the top of a mountain. Bash their beak on a rock till it falls off and then a new one will grow. Once the beak grows in, they can then pull out their claws and new sharp ones will grow. Then once that happens they start pulling the thick feathers from their body and thin them out so they can fly properly. It's a treacherous process that I'm sure involves a lot of pain and it lasts 150 days.

Sometimes we come to a fork in the road. Our lives become so overwhelming or a situation comes up that just throws a wrench into everything we thought we knew. Some of us go through a dark night of the soul where we feel alone and no one understands cause they haven't been there and we must make ourselves appear strong, because the whole world seems to need us..... Well that's what we think.

In reality, many people have been in dark places in their lives. In the same situations as us. Maybe they didn't make the right decisions. Maybe they did. The decision you face is are you going to let this thing rob you of your joy and happiness and life and goals and everything. Are you going to let your situation put you in a life rut and never get out. You can get out. Make a decision to talk to someone. You don't have to talk to me, just someone: a church member, a friend, a spouse, someone. You need to pray. Ask the Lord to help you in your situation and he will. Tell him to send kingdom connections and devine appointments. He will put people in your path or maybe speak in a special way to you, but whatever decision you make, it will be painful and you will have to put forth effort. You have to go through it to make it out. Another 30 years maybe waiting on the other side. It's worth the try.
